The Day Lewis Group is a family owned business and consists of one of the largest independent retail pharmacy chains in Europe (Day Lewis Pharmacy), a wholesaling company (Day Lewis Medical), a medical supplier to oil rigs, commercial maritime & medical services (WellsOffshore and a leading supplier of ENT OTC consumables (EMPharma).

Founded by the late Kirit Patel MBE and his brother J.C. Patel in 1975, the Day Lewis Group has grown from one pharmacy to over 315 pharmacies in the UK today, with a turnover in excess of £400 million in 2020/2021.

The family business is now led by a highly experienced management team that includes Kirit’s children, Jay, Rupa and Sam Patel, supported by his brother J.C. Patel.

Day Lewis pharmacies can be found in local communities, in high streets and in health centres. Day Lewis also acquired management rights of the pharmacy inside the world’s most famous Harrods department store in London, in September 2013.
