Neurosurgical products
RNS provides carefully integrated and developed products to manage the planning and efficient delivery of therapies to patients’ brains whilst maintaining high degrees of accuracy.

At the centre of our product range is neuroinspire planning software, offering the ability to plan and deliver precision neurological procedures, including deep brain stimulation (DBS), Stereoelectroencephalography (SEEG), biopsy and neuroendoscopy. Delivery is through either traditional stereotactic frames or for higher productivity, via our neuromate, stereotactic robot. This world-renowned combination facilitates many eminent neurosurgeons in treating Parkinson’s disease, severe and/or drug-resistant epilepsy and brain tumours, amongst other conditions.

Neurological drug delivery products
Building on our expertise in neurosurgery, RNS is addressing the challenge of delivering drugs and biologics  deep into the brain that would otherwise not reach their intended target during systemic delivery (through intravenous or oral delivery) due to the protective actions of the blood-brain barrier (BBB).

Although the BBB provides many benefits, it limits the ability to deliver therapies, whose molecular size is too great, from reaching their target when delivered by systemic means.

RNS have developed the award-winning neuroinfuse drug delivery system, a platform which enables pharmaceutical companies to deliver drugs and biologics direct to target, allowing for maximum therapeutic effect whilst reducing harmful side-effects. This mechanism is often termed convection-enhanced delivery (CED).

Our neuroinfuse system has the potential to be used in the treatment of a wide range of neurological conditions, ranging from Parkinson’s Disease and dementia, to Huntington’s disease and currently incurable brain tumours.

RNS partners with therapy developers throughout their drug development pipeline, from early research to clinical trials and all the way to commercialisation, providing a translational delivery platform for safe, accurate and reliable administration.
