Rubber Band Ligation has been around since the early 1960's. It proved over the years to be the most successful, non-operative, method of treating 1st-3rd degree haemorrhoids. Since then, other treatments have been introduced and existing methods have been improved upon. Including Sclerotherapy, Laser, Cryosurgery, IR & RF Coagulation. So, is Rubber Band Ligation still the best choice?

With a MEng (Hons) in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering and an MSc in Business Development and Innovation, Michael has over 20 years’ experience in the Bio-Medical, Medical Devices, Advanced Materials Engineering, Polymers and Rubber Industries. Previous employers include Waters Corporation, TA Instruments, Enpro Industries and the Bose Corporation.

Michael has been the General Manager of Haemoband Surgical since 2021 and has overall responsibility of Operations, Sales & Marketing, Quality, R&D and Finance.
