Applied Nanodetectors Ltd

About Us

Applied Nanodetectors was formed in 2004 and is a leading developer and supplier of nanosensor-based solutions for environmental, healthcare and medical worldwide markets. We have developed a point-of-care breath platform (Exhale-Dx™) that can transform respiratory disease healthcare. Exhale-Dx™ Asthma Self-management is a next-generation point of care (POC) breath test that combines biomarker detection, lung function measurements and artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms. Our AI algorithms-based solution predicts asthma attacks three days in advance to reduce asthma attacks and improve patient outcomes. Exhale-Dx™ Asthma Diagnostic offers fast and accurate diagnosis solutions to ensure patients with different types of asthma get the appropriate treatment.

Exhale-Dx™: Asthma Self-Management

Applied Nanodetectors research has shown that using our Exhale-Dx™ AI solution, we can predict asthma attacks three days in advance with high accuracy. Our objective is to extend the time interval to 5 days. Our solution would include an Exhale-Dx™ device, disease management software, and alerts/prompts with an integrated, personalised action plan. Using our solution will empower users to manage their condition more effectively, improve their quality of life and reduce life-threatening asthma attacks.

Exhale-Dx™: Asthma Diagnostic

The diagnosis of asthma is currently limited and is based on a mixture of clinical history, physical examination, and lung function. To date, there are no accurate, objective tests either to confirm the diagnosis or to discriminate between different types of asthma. It has been estimated that more than 30% of people diagnosed and treated for asthma may have no clear evidence of asthma.

Using our breath test, we have shown that we can identify patients with an indication of asthma with high accuracy. Using our breath test will lead to more accurate diagnosis and patients receiving the appropriate treatment.
