Southend based Surgical Holdings, a trusted, family-run business renowned for dedication, quality, and innovation in surgical instrumentation, has been acquired by Stille AB, the renowned Swedish surgical instrumentation specialist founded in 1841.
This acquisition brings together two companies with shared commitments to craftsmanship, innovation, and exceptional quality in surgical instrumentation.
It will expand Surgical Holdings’ access to investment and growth opportunities, combining Stille’s extensive product range and European manufacturing capabilities with Surgical Holdings’ high-quality instruments and specialist repair services.
The partnership will enhance customer offerings through improved quality, innovation, and supply chain resilience.
As a local employer in Southend, Surgical Holdings have been creating jobs through their growth, in technical, quality and commercial positions. Apprenticeships have been a key part of the development in the company, over the last 35 years and this new step for the business will bring more opportunities for jobs in medical device technology.
