UK HealthTech companies are being urged to act swiftly to secure their place in the ABHI US Accelerator 2025, as the programme reaches two-thirds capacity.
Applications close in January 2025, and with spaces in high demand, this is the final opportunity to join a programme designed to unlock success in the world’s largest healthcare market.
The ABHI US Accelerator is a 12-month initiative that supports UK medical device, diagnostic, and digital health companies in navigating the complexities of the US market. By providing exclusive access to key stakeholders, expert guidance on regulatory pathways, and opportunities to showcase technologies to decision-makers, the programme equips participants with the tools to thrive in this competitive landscape.
Now in its eighth year, the programme includes a series of trade missions across leading US life science hubs, connecting participants with clinicians, procurement teams, and senior executives at some of the most prominent hospital systems.
New for 2025, the itinerary expands to include states such as New Jersey and Arizona, in addition to high-profile locations like California, Florida, and Washington D.C. These visits offer direct engagement with renowned institutions such as Hackensack Meridian Health, Cedars-Sinai, and UCLA Health.
Companies participating in the ABHI US Accelerator have reported significant successes, including business growth, partnerships, and contract wins ranging from $250,000 to $60 million. The programme’s extensive network has also facilitated numerous clinical trials and partnerships, enabling companies to strengthen their presence in the US market.
Paul Benton, Managing Director of International at ABHI, said: “With two-thirds of spaces now filled, it’s clear that this programme is a critical gateway for UK HealthTech companies seeking success in the US. Over the course of the year, participants will connect with over 330 clinicians and senior executives across 35 hospitals and 25 academic systems, gaining invaluable insights and opportunities.”
The 2025 programme will begin in April with an in-person bootcamp, featuring expert-led workshops, networking opportunities, and tailored guidance to help participants hit the ground running. Year-round mentoring, virtual events, and strategic support will ensure companies are fully equipped to navigate the US healthcare market.
With only a few spaces remaining, interested companies are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
