Amparo is attending World Health Expo (WHX) to showcase its innovative direct-fit prosthetic socket solutions, alongside a live demonstration of Majicast, its hydrostatic weight-bearing casting system.
At the exhibition, Amparo is hosting an interactive workshop demonstrating how its sockets are fabricated directly on the patient, significantly reducing production time while maintaining a high level of comfort, accuracy and repeatability. The live Majicast demonstration allows clinicians to experience first-hand how hydrostatic casting can be performed in a full weight-bearing position, capturing the residual limb under functional load.
“WHX is the ideal platform for us to demonstrate how direct-fit socket technology can simplify prosthetic care without compromising clinical outcomes,” said a spokesperson for Amparo.
“By fitting directly on the patient under functional load, we can achieve greater comfort, consistency and efficiency, while removing many of the traditional barriers clinicians face.”
What sets Amparo apart is the way its technology brings together direct fitting, hydrostatic weight distribution and clinical simplicity. Majicast eliminates the need for traditional plaster moulds, extensive laboratory processes or complex digital infrastructure. This streamlined approach makes the system accessible not only to high-end prosthetics clinics, but also to low-resource and outreach environments.
By casting under functional load, Majicast delivers a more accurate representation of the residual limb in real-life conditions, helping clinicians achieve better-fitting sockets with fewer adjustments.
Amparo’s system offers a number of clear clinical advantages, including:
- Improved socket comfort and suspension through functional weight-bearing casting
- Faster fitting processes and reduced patient visits
- Consistent and reproducible clinical outcomes
- Reduced pressure points and improved load distribution
- Applicability across a wide range of transtibial patients
“Ultimately, our goal is to give clinicians a reliable, repeatable method that improves both the patient experience and clinical workflow,” the spokesperson added. “Majicast allows that to happen in a way that’s practical, scalable and clinically sound.”
Amparo’s aims for WHX include demonstrating its technology through hands-on experience, educating clinicians on the practical and clinical advantages of direct-fit sockets, and engaging with regional partners, distributors and healthcare professionals. The event also represents a key opportunity to strengthen Amparo’s presence within the Middle East prosthetics community.
By combining innovation with clinical practicality, Amparo continues to support prosthetic professionals in delivering better outcomes for patients, faster, more consistently, and with fewer barriers to adoption.
