Pharmazon – a fast-growing UK provider of high-quality pharmaceuticals and medical supplies – will be joining the UK Pavilion at Arab Health 2022 (24 – 27 January 2022) to officially unveil their revolutionary new patient platform Owello.
Unofficially dubbed ‘Uber™ for Health’, the digital platform creates a new marketplace giving patients access to quality healthcare while providing healthcare practitioners and professionals with a new way to practice it.
With an increase in patient online communities, and the rise of healthcare platforms as a tool for enabling more agile, patient-centric care, Owello seeks to address the imbalance of supply-v-demand for healthcare services. The platform – available as a cloud-based web solution and an IOS/Android app – provides a novel ecosystem to help HCPs provide private consultation work while giving patients immediate access to their services, without geographical restrictions.
The unique service has been created to give practitioners greater freedom of choice when it comes to the type of work they choose, as well as greater versatility in time and location, while giving patients access to the whole market, enabling them greater choice and control over their health and the ability to access healthcare at the touch of a button.
At Arab Health 2022, visitors will be able to register their interest and learn more about Owello by visiting Pharmazon on the UK Pavilion.
Ambi Singh General Manager said: “Healthcare platforms are increasingly becoming part of the ‘new normal’, with digital technology innovation providing a vital new way for patients to access healthcare in a way that is more agile and patient-centric. Pharmazon is committed to delivering new and innovative solutions to tired and old ways of doing things, and we are delighted to be launching our new patient platform Owello at Arab Health 2022. Our mission continues to be meeting the growing needs of healthcare in the UK, EU and further afield and we are so pleased to be joining the globally recognised ABHI brand to support our new service to give patients immediate access to a range of expert medical specialists, while giving healthcare professionals greater freedom in their role.”
The covid-19 pandemic has sparked a boom in digital health services, prompting a rapid rise in remote consultations. Owello has been designed as a unique new mode to support this provision. Using the platform, prescribers can conduct online consultations, operate a virtual clinic, create prescriptions and manage their workload.
For patients, the platform – which is free to join – fast-tracks access to a wide range of healthcare professionals. Once registered, patients can browse and narrow down their preferred choice of HCP based on their specific needs including affordability, availability and accessibility. Patients can set their price and make an offer to available practitioners and use location-based search if follow-up visits/appointments are required. They can also book appointments and see who is available for immediate consultations.
All consultations conducted through the platform are recorded, transcribed and available for patients to review, giving them a seamless experience. Using Owello, patients can also leave feedback, as well as access their patient notes and prescriptions.
Paul Benton, Managing Director, International at the ABHI added: “We are delighted that Pharmazon has chosen to launch their innovative new platform on the UK Pavilion at Arab Health. With demand for health services rising worldwide, we look forward to supporting them in their goal to make healthcare more accessible to patients globally, and providing healthcare professionals with a new exciting way to deliver much-needed services to help address the widening demand-supply gap.”
Arab Health 2022 is taking place from 24 – 27 January 2022 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Throughout the show, Pharmazon will be located on the UK Pavilion – Hall 2 HE.E12.
